| Q: Why was EuphoniaOnline.net created? A: The main reason that Euphonia Online was started back in August '03 was that not one of the extensive number of other online zines seemed to have any real depth. Other sites seemed to simply be engaged in a sort of race to see how many "big-time" bands they could put on their roster. The questions asked in interviews were flat, unoriginal, boring, and uninspired. Euphonia Online was started in hopes of creating a site where under-the-surface questioning could really help to delve into the spirituality of music. Q: What does "Euphonia" mean? A: The drawing board name for EuphoniaOnline was "Euphony Music Site." That was lame, so we changed it. "Euphonia" could be most easily described as a combination of the words "Euphony" (pleasant-sounding) and "Euphoria" (a state of bliss). Apparently our name is something German-related, or at least that's what we gathered from Euphonia.com Q: Can I join the staff? A: There are always positions open for new staff members, just some times more than others. You can either e-mail us or IM us regarding positions. If you're hoping to be a writer, be sure to have some material to show off. All that information is over on the contact page. Q: Will you interview/review my band? A: Close this window and hop on over to the "In a Band?" page. Q: What's with the animosity toward AbsolutePunk.net? A: While AP is a great example of what got us into this business, we don't have anything personal against Jason and his dashing crew of cutthroats and scallywags. As far as we know they suffer from some sort of learning disability, so we don't feel comfortable judging them seriously. Q: Can I advertise on this site? A: You may have noticed that there is one major thing EuphoniaOnline lacks that most to all other sites of its kind have--we do not have banner ads on our site. This is because xEx has remained to this day a completely nonprofit organization. We find ways to support ourselves without accepting money from other companies to put their logo next to ours. While official sponsorship is something we'd consider, we don't rent out billboard space. Sorry. Q: Were these questions really "frequently asked"? A: Not really. But the point is, now they won't be. |
